  • Overview

    THE CENTECH GROUP, Inc. (CENTECH®) is seeking a Network Administrator II to contribute to the U.S. Air Force (USAF), Mission Assurance Network Infrastructure Cyber Operations Center and Mission Defense Team (MDT) Support, Air Education & Training Command (AETC) Network Security Analysis & Training (NSAT) Program, Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA)-Randolph Air Force Base (AFB), Texas. The person in this position will support the execution of a variety of information technology (IT )systems and domains for the NSAT Program. This positon requires a general degree of knowledge and experience in a variety of IT domain areas, specifically network operations, network infrastructure,  voice and data network infrastructure and operations, information assurance practices and procedures, and, video teleconferencing (VTC) infrastructure and operations.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    • Perform analysis to evaluate optimum security of network infrastructure systems by assessing, testing, and implementing modifications to solve network problems and accomplish work processes in support of the AETC enterprise network, IT architecture, and associated network infrastructure systems
    • Analyze, manage, and/or perform tasks necessary to evaluate optimum security of network infrastructure systems by assessing, testing, and implementing modifications to solve network problems and accomplish work processes in support of the AETC enterprise network, IT architecture, and associated network infrastructure systems
    • Working as part of a team, will accomplish baseline network infrastructure compliance assessment through evaluating and recommending vulnerability remediation on network infrastructure devices, i.e. data/voice switches and routers and video-teleconferencing devices and preparing corrective recommendations and implementing such recommendations upon approval and direction from the NSAT Team, all while working in strict compliance with the appropriate Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)

     

    Qualifications

    • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related IT field of study
    • Candidate must have five (5) years’ experience
    • Candidate must have an active Secret level security clearance
    • Must maintain a current 8570 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II Certification in accordance with 8570.01-M
    • Must have a broad, deep customer service orientation and professional demeanor
    • Must possess above average verbal and written communication skills
    • Must possess a general understanding of network architectures, client computing resources, and other network factors to effectively baseline the current IT infrastructure and architecture
    • Must possess a general understanding of and experience with VTC equipment and the operation thereof
    • Must possess a general understanding of voice and data network infrastructure and operations
    • Must possess a general understanding of information assurance practices and procedures
    • Must have the ability to prepare, objectively review, and deliver technical presentations
    • Must have schedule flexibility to work varying hours and accommodate government directed travel

    Desired skills:

    • Demonstrated experience interfacing with senior USAF is highly desired
