    THE CENTECH GROUP, Inc. (CENTECH®) is seeking a Telecommunications Technician to serve as an onsite technical manager and help oversee the support of the Base Telecommunications System (BTS) for Communications Squadrons (CS) located at Minot Air Force Base (AFB), North Dakota. As part of a team that provides services to ensure the availability of the (BTS) 24 hours per day, seven (7) days per week, there are on-call requirements for active call outs after work hours to remotely diagnose and clear alarms. The person in this position will act as the CENTECH On-site Project Manager and will supervise the accomplishment of the following tasks.  In addition the person in this positon will maintain all information regarding contract modification work orders and reconcile the work order status with the Government Program Manager regularly, but no less than twice per week.  The person in this position will report to the CENTECH Executive Director of Operations.



    Responsibilities are to supervise the accomplishment of the following tasks:

    • Installs, removes, maintains, modifies, troubleshoots, and repairs voice and/or non-voice communications systems including intercom and public address systems, alarm systems, teletype equipment
    • Installs, removes, maintains, monitors and repairs electronic and electromechanical telephone key systems/PBAXs; terminal and communications equipment, including line drivers.
    • Run cables, key cables, or house wire to all telephone sets, terminal connectors, lugs, pins, or screws,  associated with key telephone equipment and/or terminating equipment for non-voice circuits



    • A minimum of three (3) years of experience as telecommunications switch technician/telecommunications mechanic
    • Experience in trouble assistance calls
    • Knowledge of voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) operations as part of the BTS
    • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
    • Must be resourceful and feel comfortable reaching out to other departments and management to complete assignments
    • Follow through on action items and keeping management and the team informed of progress
