THE CENTECH GROUP, Inc. (CENTECH®) is seeking an Operational / Software Engineer. The person in this position will build out, maintain, and troubleshoot application test and production environments built on Windows Servers and Red Hat Linux. They will work as part of a team of software engineers responsible for troubleshooting and ensureing the highest levels of availability, performance and security on multiple applications.


  • Work with customers to formulate and define improved processes that benefit CENTECH and the Program Management Office (PMO)
  • Interact with other team members (employees) to accomplish task-related activities in a professional manner that reflects a positive image
  • Document the status of the area of responsibility; identify issues and highlight concerns and risks
  • Special projects, as assigned



  • Must have bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent
  • Four (4) to six (6) years of extensive experience installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
  • U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Baseline Certificates - 8570.1M requirements
    • Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT-II) Certification: GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or Security+ (Security+ preferred)
  • Familiarity with Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 10, and Linux
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and must be able to pass a National Agency Check (NAC). Secret Security Clearance with SSBI Investigation desired
  • Highly Desired: familiarity with VMWare, Oracle Weblogic, Oracle Database, IIS, and SQL Server
