Overview

THE CENTECH GROUP, Inc. (CENTECH®) is seeking a Senior Solutions Architect to develop technical solutions and information technology (IT) strategies for federal government Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) responses. As a technical leader in the development of solutions for our proposals and/or our clients, you will have subject matter expertise in at least two (2) technical disciplines; telecommunications, network infrastructure, help desk, and/or software application development. 

 

You will assist in analyzing IT requirements and the development of competitive solutions for proposal investments, which includes aiding in the development of win themes, discriminators and added value presentations. You will help to define technical solutions that will be performed by CENTECH on contracts. In collaboration with proposal stakeholders, the person in this position will develop and execute CENTECH’s technical strategies and implementation planning within your area of technical expertise. You will assist with the development and writing of technical solutions for winning bids and management of solutions to comply with all RFP and/or customer requirements. You will also work with operations and new business growth professionals on technical analyses to assess potential new acquisitions and provide input/guidance. This position is a “hands on” technical position and requires significant detailed technical experience, expertise, and ongoing knowledge of current technologies and the ability to reflect those in writing.

 

Work location is in Falls Church, Virginia.

 

Responsibilities

  • Fully develop technical solutions for RFP responses by analyzing IT requirements and proposing creative methodologies and cost effective technical design specifications
  • Provide technical assessment on additional methodologies and justification for each solution
  • Develop and write significant portions of a technical response to an RFP, to include personally developing diagrams and architectures, and staffing solutions
  • Attend pre-RFP meetings with team members and answer general technical questions about a potential solution to a customer problem
  • Supervise the market research that will provide critical analytical data to support our proposal presentation strategy that will respond to the RFP technical requirements and will result in earning high evaluation ratings
  • Fully understand and effectively articulate RFP and potential client requirements as described in the RFP or Performance Work Statement (PWS)
  • Provide a "compelling" response to address all requirements in the RFP
  • Adhere to the published catalog of technology standards (federal)
  • Effectively use problem-solving skills, ability to work as part of the team with CENTECH team members across other departments
  • In collaboration with the operations, participate in problem-solving actions to support CENTECH’s present clients
  • Lead the use of CENTECH’s technology development and architectural methods when capturing business development opportunities

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Successful, verifiable track record of proposing new strategies and technologies to federal clients

  • Experience with IT portfolio management (analysis, infrastructure, cloud transformation, data center consolidation, application development/sustainment, etc.)

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent work experience required. Master's degree preferred

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience developing technical solutions for RFP responses, two (2) of which must be as a lead technical architect

  • Excellent systems documentation and architecture diagram skills with thorough understanding of systems architecture, engineering, administration, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, preventative maintenance and security procedures

  • Excellent organizational, communication, writing and analytical skills; effective interpretation skills to understand RFP scope of work and customer requirements

  • Must possess technical expertise in two or more of the following areas:  Web solutions, data center operations, help desk, network and infrastructure, software development/maintenance, telecommunications

  • Must be willing to provide a sample of technical writing competency

  • Must be able to pass a security investigation; active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) clearance preferred
