Overview

THE CENTECH GROUP, Inc. (CENTECH®) is seeking a Chief Technical Officer (CTO). The CTO will develop technical and business solutions and will lead the CENTECH team in the implementation of the solutions into our proposals and/or our client solutions. The person in this position is responsible for the development of competitive technical solutions presentations and all proposal investments, which include the development of win themes, win discriminators and added value presentations. They are responsible for designing the Implementation Plan for technology and business solutions that will be performed by CENTECH as the prime contractor and our subcontractors, or in the case where CENTECH is a subcontractor. In collaboration with division directors, capture managers and opportunity qualification specialists, the person in this position will develop and execute CENTECH’s technical solutions presentations. They will direct the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of a geographically dispersed enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. The CTO drives the business strategy for technology innovation, insertion and integration. Work with the division directors and New Business Development Department personnel on technical analyses to assess potential new acquisitions and provide input/guidance.

 

Work locations is Falls Church, VA.

Responsibilities

  • Support division directors in a collaboration format to increase, on an annual basis, an average of 15% of sales on existing contracts.
  • Upon request of the president, directs the strategic design, acquisition, management, and implementation of a geographically dispersed enterprise-wide technology infrastructure. Drives the business strategy for technology innovation, insertion and integration.
  • Oversees research and development for the application of new technologies across CENTECH business lines and within CENTECH’s internal information infrastructure in response in meeting Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements.
  • Plans and implements proven processes and procedures for staff guidance in the life cycle in responding to technical sections of RFP’s.
  • Identifies company-wide qualified personnel to support the development of technical solutions to be presented in proposals.
  • Set standards for the technology solutions that are presented in CENTECH’s proposals.
  • Supervise the market research that will provide critical analytical data to support our proposal presentation strategy that will respond to the RFP technical requirements and will result in earning high evaluation ratings.
  • Fully understand and effectively articulate RFP and potential client requirements as described in the RFP or Perfromance Work Statement (PWS).
  • Provide a "compelling" response to address all requirements in the RFP.
  • Adheres to the published catalog of technology standards (federal or commercial).
  • Effectively use problem-solving skills, ability to work as part of the team with CENTECH team members across other departments.
  • The CTO in collaboration with the division director will participate in problem-solving actions to support CENTECH’s present clients.
  • Responsible for maintaining large, complex, network-centric environments including in-depth knowledge of industry best practices in the areas of email systems, hardware/software co-dependencies, help desk services, network services, telephony, various network operating systems and network infrastructure with emphasis on the support of enterprise systems.
  • Align CENTECH’s technology vision with its business strategy by integrating its processes with the appropriate technologies. Responsible for and will lead all aspects of developing and implementing technological initiatives within CENTECH during customer development and business proposal responses.
  • Become the executive sponsor of the availability of robust and reliable technology platforms.
  • Serve as the advisor to the cheif executive officer (CEO), president, and senior management by providing strategic direction and implementation for new technology.
  • Lead all aspects of the CENTECH’s technology development and architectural methods when capturing business development opportunities.

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Successful, verifiable track record of proposing and gaining client acceptance for new strategies and technologies to federal and/or commercial clients
  • Experience with information technology (IT) portfolio management (analysis, infrastructure, cloud transformation, data center consolidation, application development/sustainment, etc)
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relative successful verifiable work experience.
  • Ten (10) years of verifiable and successful experience as a successful solutions architect and CTO
  • Excellent organizational, communication and writing skills
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with government executives; extensive contacts at the executive level in the federal government preferred
  • Must be able to pass a security investigation if necessary
